Our patients are important to us, and your recovery experience is a key part of your aesthetic journey. We are here for you throughout this time and have provided aftercare and recovery recommendations to help you heal well. Based on which procedure or procedures you've undergone, your post-operation recommendations will differ.

Post-Op Recommendations for Facial Surgeries

As Dr. Meade specializes in Facial Surgery, here are some of the most common recommendations offered to those patients:

  1. For any procedure that is above the clavicle (collar bone), please use a button-up type top or shirt. Using a pull-over top can rub, agitate, or even open a suture before it has a chance to fully heal.
  2. Eat well. A balanced diet, including fresh fruits and vegetables, will serve the whole body and the results of your procedure.
  3. Pay attention to your skincare regime, including the products you use and your overall exposure to the sun. Dr. Meade will recommend the best products for you from EpiCentre Skin Care.
  4. Large sunglasses might be a good option for those who have had eyelid surgery or a brow lift. The same could be said for a wide-brim and loose-fitting hat.
  5. If you smoke, you will need to quit for 4-6 weeks before and after surgery. Excessive alcohol can also negatively affect your recovery.

Our Clinic RN, Allison, will carry out a thorough Pre-Operative appointment with you. This is typically done 2-3 weeks prior to your surgery. You will be given more detailed pre and post-operative instructions customized for your aesthetic surgery procedure. If you do have any questions post-procedure, Dr. Meade is available. Please feel free to reach out at 214.823.1691.
